Vandalism at Burtenshaw parking lot causes $3,000 in damages

Campus police are looking for anyone who has any information or who may have witnessed or heard concerning vandalism that occurred on Saturday, April 3 between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. in the Burtenshaw Residence Hall parking lot.
Vandalism in the parking lot caused more than $3,000 worth of damage to two vehicles parked in the lot. An individual allegedly threw a mountain bike onto the hood of the assistant baseball coach’s automobile. The dents, scratches and broken windshield added up to over $1,000 worth of damage. The same night one of the members of the baseball team had his motorcycle tipped over. This incident caused close to $2,000 in damage.
Several individuals who were having a barbecue outside Burtenshaw Hall were questioned but no one saw the vandalism occur. Those interviewed expressed their concern for the victim’s property and the cost associated with repairs. There were many witnesses to the barbecue but no one saw the vandalism occur, said Bill Osborn, assistant dean of students.
Campus police are investigating this crime and have several possible suspects. There have been some leads as to what happened but they aren’t sure who is responsible for the vandalism. Any one with any information in this case needs to go and talk to campus police.
