CEU’s volleyball team opened their season against an alumnae team on Aug. 27. After a week off, they will hit the road this weekend for Las Vegas where they will see their first major competition in a tournament. According to Coach Brent Martindale, the team will spend Thursday and Friday in “pool play” where they play six matches. Teams entered in the tourney include SLCC, Yapapai, Western Wyoming, Pierce Community College, Marshall Town and Fort Scott Community College. Saturday’s play starts the tournament with seatings gathered from the prior two-days play.
