Beginners will learn the basic skills necessary to be able to safely and successfully enjoy the sport of mountain biking. Students will become aware of the proper fit of helmets and bikes, gear selection, frame configuration, single-track techniques of climbing and downhill riding, and an appreciation of cardiovascular fitness and health through mountain biking. This class (RECR 1310) will be taught by Dondra Nance and ride Thursday nights at 5 p.m..
Intermediate and advanced riders will ride harder and longer to push themselves to improve their technical riding ability and become stronger, more intuitive riders. This class (RECR 1320) will be taught by Fuzzy Nance and ride Wednesday nights.
