Meesha Lee Rasmussen was born and raised in Price, Utah. Rasmussen plays as one of the new additions to the CEU Eagles volleyball team, in high school she played off hander, but now plays defensive specialist.
She attended Carbon High School where she played volleyball, basketball and softball. So far she enjoys playing for the Eagles, when compared to high school, it has its ups and downs.
Rasmussen chose to attend CEU because it was the closest to home and she could earn an associate’s degree while living in Price, and she didn’t want to go anywhere else. She plans to attend a four-year college after CEU so she can pursue a career as an elementary school teacher.
“After CEU I believe I will attend either Southern Utah University or Utah Valley State College. That way I can get a teaching degree,” she stated.
Rasmussen’s favorite color is yellow, and given the choice between red and blue, she simply stated, “I like them both so much I don’t want to have to choose.”
Her favorite to play and watch is volleyball, she enjoys everything about it. In her spare time she enjoys playing piano and going out to play with the local rednecks, namely Ox, Mike and Chris.
Rasmussen prefers grilled cheese over peanut butter and jelly any day, “cause I hate jelly.” Jam as well; she believes they are both disgusting. Dolphins are her favorite animal and it has always been a dream of hers to swim with dolphins, that and be a princess in Disneyland with her friend Jamie.
Her dream vacation was described as a trip to Africa to observe all of the wild animals. Another would be Paris, just to see the sights. Later in life she would enjoy driving a Mazda, although she wasn’t sure which model she wanted.
Rasmussen’s biggest pet peeve is people who are nice to a person to their face and then are rude and mean behind their back. She absolutely cannot stand people who act that way. Otherwise she doesn’t have a problem with the world.
All in all, this year is turning out well for Rasmussen and she hopes to live in Price after she graduates from a four-year college.
