Research ideas in library

The College of Eastern Utah Library has several resources to assist users while doing research for classes. Did you know that the library also has a fun collection of DVDs, videos, books and other resources for non-study times? For instance, this week we have a wonderful display at the library of DVDs that are for the romantically minded. Remember Thursday, Feb. 14 is Valentine’s Day. Some DVDs in the romance collection include: Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Titanic, What A Woman Wants, Pillow Talk, Love Story, Hitch, Mr. & Mrs. Smith and many others. The display of romantic movies is located near the front circulation counter as you enter the library.
Our book collection contains several romantic offerings as well : The City in Which I Love You: Poems, Few Figs from Thistles : Poems and Sonnets, Love Poems of Elizabeth Barrett Browning and Robert Browning, and Native American Courtship and Marriage Tradition to name just a few. We also have several works of fiction in both the novel and drama genres that deal with romantic relationships. Books are primarily housed on the second floor of the library. Please check the CEU Library card catalog or ask me, Lori Brassaw, the CEU Reference Librarian or any of the staff here at the library for assistance in locating a specific title or topic.
Just a reminder: it is time to start getting your resources together for those big papers that are due at the end of the semester. In the event that you would like information that the library doesn’t have on hand, we can order it for you through a process known as Interlibrary Loan. However, this does take days or weeks from the time you request it till the time it arrives at the CEU Library. So think ahead and start gathering your resources together this week.
