Intramural sports makes student heroes

There is a place on campus where anyone can be a sports hero. These are people that have a passion of sports way past that of a normal human being. These sports heroes are as important to teams as Kobe is to the Lakers, or Lebron is to the Cavaliers, or Jeter is to the Yankees.
These players all meet on every Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. to play the sports they love with others who share the same passion as them. People who don’t have to have a crowd to cheer them when they score a goal or to have to worry about impressing a coach for a starting role, these players play with more heat, arguably, than the pros.
From football to soccer basketball to volleyball- any sport you want to play- there is most likely a team for it. There is even a team for tennis where they are considering playing other schools and having real tournaments.
Cole Unsworth is the leader of this getaway for a lot of college students. This is a place where students can get away from their studies and just go play, and is also a great way to meet new people who enjoy what you do. “Football is now over and we are playing soccer, after that we will play volleyball, basketball, guitar hero, chess, and possibly tennis just in this semester,” Cole said.
So if anyone wants to come out and just play everyone is invited and the more the better. Free shirts will be given out in a lot of sports, so just go and have fun and enjoy your college experience.
