Every other year, the College of Eastern Utah Price campus and San Juan campus art instructors pull their best work together to offer a Faculty Show hosted in the Gallery East during November and December. This year, former San Juan campus art instructor,

The first CEU Outdoors Program features numerous weekend activities for students, faculty and the community spring semester.
According to Steve Christensen, “Some of the activities and trips are listed, but that certainly isn’t everything. If you want to do something specific, please let me know.” He hopes to have a permanent kiosk in the JLSC where students can get information, post trip notices, plus post and see photos. We want this to be something that appeals to everyone. So, if you don’t see what you want, let Steve know.
•River Permits Party/Jan. 5

6 p.m. at the Price Community Center • No cost.
Most rivers in the Intermountain West require permits. Most are by lottery. If you are interested in going on a river trip, come help us get some permits. River videos. Just a fun evening.
•Snowshoe Outing/Jan. 15
Activity range: A • Group size: 6-12
Cost: $12, includes snowshoes & transportation
•Avalanche Awareness Workshop/Jan. 21-22
Activity range: A • Group size: Unlimited • Free
The basics about avalanches. Presented in conjunction with the U.S. Forest Service & Utah Avalanche Forecasting Center. Evening class on Jan. 21 and an outing on Saturday, Jan. 22
Cost: $5, only if you want transportation for the outing.
•Full Moon Snowshoe Hike / Jan. 25
Activity range: A • Group size: 6-12, cost: $12, includes snowshoes & transportation
•Camping Trip/Goosenecks of San Juan & Johns Canyon/Feb. 19-21

Activity range: A • Group size: 8-14 • Cost: $70, includes transportation and food. Camping fees and entrance fees to parks and museums are not included. You will see natural wonders, historic remnants, and great rock art.
•Winter Backpacking/Feb. 26-27
Activity range: B • Group size: 6-10, cost: $15, includes transportation only; participants will be responsible for their own gear, clothing, and food.
•San Rafael Swell Hike/March 19
Location to be determined at the planning meeting. Activity range: A • Group size: 6-14 • Cost: $5, includes transportation only.
•Rock Climbing Clinic in Spring Canyon/April 8-9
Activity range: A • Group size: 6-12 • Cost: $15, includes instruction, ropes, shoes, and personal technical gear. This clinic will be held Friday evening and Saturday.
•Camping at Crystal Geyser / April 15-16
Trip Coordinator: Amanda Hansen A camping trip for non-campers
Activity range: A • Group size: 12-22 • Cost: $15, includes transportation and breakfast. Dinner is on your own at Ray’s Tavern.
•Rafting & Kayaking on the Green River/April 15-16
Activity range: A • Group size: 12-22, cost: $40, includes transportation, guides, rafts, inflatable kayaks, and food. If you want to be in a hard-shell kayak, you will need to arrange for your own.
•Mountain Biking in San Rafael Swell/April 16
Activity range: A • Group size: 6-20, cost: $15, includes transportation only; participants will be responsible for their own bicycle, gear, clothing, and food.
•Rafting & Kayaking on Colorado River/April 22-23
Activity range: A-B Rafting, B Kayaking • Group size: 12-20 Approximate cost: $50, to be paid to the permit holder; includes transportation, rafting equipment (if you kayak you will need to rent your own kayak), life jackets, and food.
•Tour of Range Creek/April 23 You’ve heard about it. Now experience it. • Activity range: A, Group size: 12-20 • Cost: $25, includes transportation and guide.
•Rafting Cataract Canyon/May 1-6
Activity range: B • Group size: 12-20 • Approximate cost: $180, to be paid to the permit holder; includes transportation, gear, and food.
•Horse Trail Ride/May 7
