Wild Man “Wishing Well” helps charities
You walk past him everyday in the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center. He is 4 years old and is CEU’s silent helper and makes students’ wishes come true. Who is he and where can he be found? He’s the Wild Man, located in front of the cafeteria. The Wild Man was built and funded by instructor Mike Tryon and the welding department students and has been residing in the JLSC since 2000. So what exactly does he do?

He’s the Wild Man, located in front of the cafeteria. The Wild Man was built and funded by instructor Mike Tryon and the welding department students and has been residing in the JLSC since 2000. So what exactly does he do?
The Wild Man is a wishing well. Just insert any spare change, rub his tummy and make a wish; he will take care of the rest. The Wild Man has helped many students, including Gypsie Delgado. “The Wild Man has always brought me great luck. Even if I just put a penny in, I still get a date.” Donald McCarty claims, “the Wild Man has always been on my side.” So the next time you need help with a test, need a date, or are looking for guidance ask the Wild Man.
Along with helping students, the Wild Man also benefits many others. Every month the money from the Wild Man is donated to those in need. In the past the Wild Man has helped Habitat for Humanity, Breakaway Club, Carbon County Food Bank, March of Dimes, Newborns In Need and the American Cancer Society. This month the money will be donated to the Golden Rule Mission, which is a homeless shelter in Helper. Support a great cause and make all your wishes come true with the help of the Wild Man.
