Academic departmental awards ceremony honors CEU’s best

Twenty-four students will be honored at the College of Eastern Utah’s annual departmental awards ceremony at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 29 in the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center, announced Vice President of Academics, Greg Benson.
Outstanding communication department students are Kelton Wells, Price; and Sheraya E. Barajas, Orem. Outstanding journalism students are Erin N. Page, Bountiful; and Nathan R. Davis, Idaho Falls, Idaho. Wells is also outstanding music student.

Dylan J. Olsen, Price, is the outstanding welding student; Stella Jo Gutierrez, Helper, criminal justice; Amber I. Liin, Huntington, biology; Alyson L. Kocks, Price, education/family; Trent B. Greenhalgh, Price, engineering drafting and design technology; Suzanne K. Mabry, Price, English; Kabrina D. Ludwig, Fruitland, cosmetology; and Dawn E. Tobey, Nova Scotia, Canada, geology.
Barbara S. Heilmann, Neubiberg, Germany, is the outstanding psychology student, April Shurtleff, Price; licensed practical nurse; Lori Tuttle, Orangeville, registered nurse; Nicholas Cox, Spring Glen, chemistry; Trevor Stoddart, Tremonton, computer science; Danielle Warner,Price, accounting; Karidon Allred, Orangeville, business computer information systems; Ryan Pugh, Bluebell, business; Holly Martineau, Price, Boni Nichols’ Award; Amber Barlow, Saratoga Springs, recreation; and Joel Garvin, Smithfield, art.
Students graduating with honors and high honors will receive their honor cords at the ceremony.
