Student paints nails on campus

Whether it’s for graduation, a wedding, a birthday party or just normal everyday life, to some people having their nails done is a must. But getting nails painted and applied can be extremely expensive, especially on a college student’s budget. This is why one creative student has found a cost-effective solution to this problem and is willing to share her talents and create art on other people’s fingertips for a reasonable price.
Natalie Sandoval, a student at Utah State University-Eastern, has been painting her own nails with eye catching and creative designs as an alternative to salons.

She got the inspiration for this when the price of salon nails started reaching near $40, a price tag she grew tired of paying. She realized that the same thing could be done on her own.
She began to paint wild designs which spawned out of pure boredom, and it became apparent they would catch the interest of those around her, becoming a great conversation starter.
Sandoval can do most anything, depending of nail width and size. Her range of designs go from animal print, stripes, and polka dots to iconic cartoon and video game characters such as Spongebob Squarepants and Pac-Man, or any number of cartoon characters that come to mind.
She has even been asked by men to do their toes with the characters from Aqua Teen Hunger Force, so they can still sport an awesome design without getting flak for having their fingernails painted.
At the moment the only regular client Natalie has is her friend’s little sister. She attends Helper Junior High and gets a large dose of attention over her fingers.
She is learning to do acrylic nails, but does not yet have the equipment for them. In the meantime, she is able to paint these designs either straight to a person’s natural nails or on plastic nails that can be pressed on over an actual nail.
Now for the best part: her talents can be acquired by anyone for a modest price. If a client wishes to have their own nails painted, it is a mere $10 charge. The price for plastic nails is $20. And as soon as she is able to get what is needed for acrylic nails, they will be priced at $30. If there is a color required for a requested design that she does not already posses, there will be an additional $5 charge.
If you wish to contact Natalie Sandoval for her services, you can look her up on www.facebook.com or send her an e-mail at [email protected].
So if there is a need for a less costly way to feel more beautiful in life, the need has just found its solution.
