Automotive student, Jorge Lascano’s father, Edison Lascano, shot the lunar eclipse from 10 p.m. April 14 to 4 a.m. April 15. He shot an image every 10 minutes to show when the moon passed directly behind the Earth and into its shadow. This occurs only when the Sun, Earth and Moon are aligned with the Earth in the middle. A lunar eclipse can only occur the night of a full moon. According to Wikipedia, the type and length of an eclipse depend upon the Moon’s location relative to its orbital nodes. The lunar eclipse lasts for a few hours and can be viewed from anywhere on the night side of the Earth.
