Halloween Playlist

The year 2020 has been absolutely horrifying. Every month of this year has had its own jump scare lurking around the corner and the world was not prepared. Now that spooky season is upon us, some costumes and fake ghosts might bring up the mood. Here is a list compiled specifically for your Halloween celebration.

Starting off with a classic, Thriller by Michael Jackson is always a good choice. It sets a spooky feeling in the air and dancing like a zombie is surprisingly easy. Everyone can join in during this song.

Calling all the Monsters by China Anne McClain is throwback gold. This will get your body moving and there is no doubt people won’t be singing this at the top of their lungs.

If you want to feel a little extra spooky, throw Spooky, Scary Skeletons by Andrew Gold on your party playlist. Not only does it have some fun choreography, thanks to viral app TikTok, it is overall a great song to jump around to.

Here is a weird one, the Monster High Theme Song by Windy Wagner. Don’t judge it too soon, it is a very fun dance song. It is upbeat, catchy, and worth the listen.

You can never go wrong with I Put a Spell on Youoriginally written by Jay Hawkins was covered on the Hocus Pocus movie soundtrack. It turns everyone into a singer and is a fun and sassy song to mix up your spooky playlist.

Monster by Lady Gaga is such a deliciously creepy song for your safe Halloween. It’s got some upbeat moments, some slower moments and is overall a weird, scary song.

Another classic addition to this playlist is Oogie Boogie’s Song sung by Ken Page from the Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack. This song is by far the creepiest song in the whole movie simply because the Boogie Man is horrifying. But, this is a song you can boogie to.

If you do feel alone on Halloween night, listen to Somebody’s Watching Me by Rockwell and you won’t feel alone for muchlonger. This frightening song is quite fun to dance to even if it keeps you looking behind your back.

You might need a breather with all of these dance songs. Come Little Children by Erutan is a slower song that can give you a much needed break but it will keep everyone spooked, especially the children.

For the finale, Ghostbusters by Ray Parker Jr. This classic is a dance song that makes everyone feel a little safer knowing they have someone to call.

While Halloween 2020 will not be as eventful as every other year, you can still have fun while being safe. Holding a small, socially distanced gathering or just watching spooky movies in your room can be just as fun as trick or treating and partying. Have a safe and happy spooky season folks!
