Here in the beautiful, small town of Price there are some hidden gems along U.S. 6, and one trip can take explorers to a little store off 1st North, called Scattered Dice – Games and Arcade.

Originally owned by Nathan Behn from December of 2020, Scattered Dice purchased the shop in early September. It’s a blast from the past, a classic arcade with some twists and open 3-8 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 3-10 p.m. on Friday, and 12-10 p.m. on Saturday.

Scattered Dice offers a selection of community-oriented game nights, tournaments, and more. It has games ranging from Magic: The Gathering, to Dungeons & Dragons, Pokémon to Yu-Gi-Oh!. The staff is knowledgeable, and well-versed.

For those not into the boards and cards, Scattered Dice has a wide variety of classic arcades, virtual reality, Nintendo Switch games, and even a few Foosball tables. Arcade games and the Foosball tables are free to use. The virtual reality rate is $10 per half hour, Switch is $20 per hour for groups.

For those new to the arcade, a little shelving unit is stationed to the left inside the door entrance with board games. For those who don’t want to hop on any of the arcades, they can grab a game and sit down at one of the many tables centered along the south wall. To the right of the entrance, patrons are welcome to delve into a community card rack for not only Magic: The Gathering, but also Pokémon. Almost all , if not all of these are common and uncommon cards from almost any set imaginable. Thursday nights are for Yu-Gi-Oh!  and Friday nights are for Magic.

Magic: The Gathering players can take trips to the store and set up a game with players from around our valley. The environment is homely, friendly and mixed with competitive tension. The place is rarely busy and is soothingly quiet at times.

With the growing popularity of card games and tabletop games, Scattered Dice is the perfect place for playing games with friends and it also has a substantial community.
