Off-season trades have made Major League Baseball analysts predict that this upcoming MLB season is going to be one for the books.
Fan-favorite teams are going to have a lot of new faces.
Trea Turner, former Los Angeles Dodgers, and Washington Nationals shortstop, has been traded to the Philadelphia Phillies. This trade could have very well made the Phillies the powerhouse of the MLB. The world saw how the Phillies did last year, taking second in the World Series, and adding Trea just added one more weapon to their arsenal.
A team like the Baltimore Orioles, who have a lot of upcoming stars, could also win their first world series in over 30 years.
A team who lost huge players due to injury, such as the San Diego Padres, will come back stronger than ever with the off season to rest. Fernando Tatis Jr. could have been a huge contribution to the Padres if he could have stayed healthy. They very possibly could have left the 2022 season with a ring.
Spring training is right around the corner and fans will get to see how these new and improved teams will play. New guys will get their chance to show what they got and veterans will get right back in the grove of things. Each team is going to play around 20 games with some beautiful weather in both Arizona and Florida.
The Houston Astros, winners of the 2022 World Series, will have something to prove this year. With all of the accusations of cheating, they are going to have to show that they are the best team in baseball, yet again. Houston’s conference rivals, the Texas Rangers, are going to be sneaky good this year after acquiring Jacob Degrom. Degrom has been arguably the best pitcher in baseball for the past few years. Corey Seager and Macus Semien will play in the middle infield and will look to be among the best hitters in the league.
This season is going to be a must watch for any sports fan. Maybe the Arizona Diamondbacks could come out on top this year after being the worst team in baseball last year. They have acquired a lot of great arms and bats which is going to be huge for them. Eventually the Las Vegas Athletics will make an appearance, but for the time being, the dreadful A’s will remain in Oakland, California.
