Eastern baseball to play make-up games against College of Southern Idaho
The make-up series, however, will be played just two days later, in Twin Falls. On Monday, Apr. 10 and Tuesday, Apr. 11, the two teams will square-off to play four more games.
The Utah State University Eastern baseball team will have the opportunity to play a four-game make-up series against the College of Southern Idaho Golden Eagles. The series was originally scheduled for Mar. 3-4, in Twin Falls, Idaho.
“We were upset that we weren’t able to play the games to start our conference season,” said head coach Kirk Haney. “Instead of opening our season in the first week of March, we had to wait a few weeks because of weather. We are excited for the chance to play these important conference games.”
The USU Eastern Eagles and CSI Golden Eagles are currently scheduled to play a series in Price, Utah this weekend, Apr. 7-8. It will be the first meeting, this season, between the Eagles and Golden Eagles.

“We understand that it’s a lot of games in a short amount of time,” added Coach Haney. “But when we had the games already scheduled, the opportunity to reschedule, and play, is one that we cannot pass up.”
Eight games will be played in five days, a tough task for any team, but the Eagles say they will be ready.
“This team has the chance to be special,” said Coach Haney. “The more this team is on the field, the more opportunity the world has to see just how good this team can be. These games are crucial to the development of our players and team.”
