2025-26 NFL Season Preview

The National Football League (NFL) football season has officially ended, and the first game of the season starts Thursday, Sept. 4, with the Dallas Cowboys heading to Lincoln Financial Field to play the Philadelphia Eagles. Preseason games may not count toward their regular-season rankings, but they give viewers a chance to see how their favorite team is coming together with new players and new coaches. Not everyone follows the NFL draft closely, nor do they track which players were traded to different teams during the offseason, nor do they keep up with which players won’t be playing due to injuries or suspensions. A lot happens with all 32 teams, starting from the week after the Super Bowl to the first preseason game. It will mostly be die-hard NFL fans who keep track of those events. Or there will be times, like this one, when it’s someone who has always had football on TV during football season and continues to watch games during college. So, here’s the rundown of all 32 teams as we leave the preseason and enter the road to the Super Bowl.

Arizona Cardinals:
This team has been in the middle of the pack for a few years now. In the 2022-2023 season, they finished with a 1-8 record, and in the 2024-2025 season, they finished with a 2-6 record. As they enter 2025, their roster has looked more complete than it has in recent years. It’s also been noticed that they focus a lot more on their defense than their offense, but it looks like that will be turning that around and making the offense just as strong as their defense. There is even news that Kedon Slovis, a quarterback who went undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft, has signed with the Cardinals and will be put on the roster as the third quarterback, and was able to practice with the team on Thursday, Aug. 28, according to the Cardinals’ news page. The Cardinals won two out of the three preseason games, even beating the Kansas City Chiefs 20-17. It is expected that if they focus on their offense like they say, this team will do some surprising things in this new season.

Atlanta Falcons
The Atlanta Falcons have made some surprising moves to their offense this year. Kirk Cousins was their quarterback starter for the 2024 season; however, it seems that the team has decided to pull him back as the second string with Michael Penix Jr. as the starter. Penix was drafted by the Falcons in 2024 and only played three games as a rookie. It seems like a lot of people are starting to worry about this decision, but there have been many times when a rookie quarterback has been just what the team needed. And with wide receiver Darnell Mooney receiving an encouraging update on his injury, people may be starting to change their minds about this team. Despite the Falcons being 0-3 in the pre-season, there is always room for surprise, even if right now, it doesn’t look like they are going to improve much from last year.

Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens have been a powerhouse team that has just barely missed the mark for the Super Bowl. Last season, the team ended with a heartbreaking finish against the Buffalo Bills with a dropped pass to tight end Mark Andrews that would have given them the two-point conversion they needed. Lamar Jackson, the team’s quarterback, is a two-time NFL MVP who has been a very solid player and centerpiece to the Ravens’ offense. Some other additions to this offense include Cooper Rush, who went 9-5 as a starter quarterback in seven seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, Deandre Hopkins, a former Pro Bowl receiver, and Jaire Alexander, a cornerback signed after being released by the Green Bay Packers. Alexander has been dealing with a knee injury, which leaves him questionable to play on Sunday against the Bills. It is no surprise that the Ravens were able to win their three preseason games. The Ravens have been able to hold the number one spot in the AFC North for two seasons. Will they be able to do it again?

Buffalo Bills
The Bills have consistently been the number one team in the AFC East since the 2020-2021 season, narrowly missing the mark for their Super Bowl appearance. The quarterback, Josh Allen, won his first MVP award in the 2024 season, narrowly edging out Lamar Jackson. This strong team has also made some new additions that will hopefully get the Bills to the Super Bowl, a goal they’ve been so close to achieving every year. The additions include defensive end Joey Bosa and wide receiver Joshua Palmer, who both came from the Los Angeles Chargers. During preseason, the Bills went 1-2, but I think we can expect some exciting games starting with their game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Carolina Panthers
The Carolina Panthers have been a team that has consistently stayed
at the bottom of the ranks in the last few years. Although no one has high hopes for this
team, they were able to make some upgrades with their defensive line this year, which has
been their biggest weakness. The team hired a new head coach in January 2024, right near
the end of the season. With a new coach who has been able to spend the offseason getting
this team ready, maybe the Panthers will be able to make a comeback, finally. However, in
very recent news, the Panthers traded Adam Thielen, the Panthers’ quarterback Bryce
Young’s most dependable receiver the past two seasons. That may put a dent in the team’s
roster. They lost all three of their preseason games, which, sadly, isn’t the most shocking
thing. Nobody’s sure if they can do anything this year, but you never know.

Chicago Bears
The Bears are another team that hasn’t been a need-to-watch team. Last season, they finished last in the NFC North, a position they have consistently held since the 2022-2023 season. People have been concerned about the team’s edge rusher position throughout the offseason. And now Austin Booker, a young pass rusher who had a great preseason, was placed on injury reserve and will be missing at least four weeks of the season with a knee injury. Team members have said that they’re ready to go and that the new team will surprise everyone. Is that true? We won’t know until the season starts. The Bears started great in their preseason. We won two and tied with the Dolphins for the last one. Who knows? Maybe they do have surprises up their sleeves that we just don’t know about.

Cincinnati Bengals
Since losing the 2022 Super Bowl to the Los Angeles Rams, this team hasn’t been too impressive. The season after the Super Bowl, they were last in the AFC North with a 9-8 record and then second to last in the 2024-2025 season with the same record. New additions to the team include Noah Fant, a tight end traded by the Seattle Seahawks; Mitchell Tinsley, a wide receiver who originally went undrafted in 2023 and got the call that he made the 53-man roster on Wednesday, Aug. 27; and Dalton Risner, a veteran guard who was formerly on the Minnesota Vikings. Risner will be a great addition to the team’s O-line as they’re dealing with injuries that are making that right side of the offensive line questionable. The team has some great players, but it has only won one of its preseason games. So far, it seems like this team might stay the same as in previous years and might go back for a 9-8 record for the third year in a row.

Cleveland Browns
Cleveland Browns: The Browns have had a difficult offseason, marked by the loss of Deshaun Watson as he recovers from injury and ongoing quarterback debates. For the upcoming 2025 season, Joe Flacco will start out as the first-string quarterback. It seemed like people were rooting for rookie Shedeur Sanders to succeed, but the Browns opted to place him third on the depth chart behind Dillon Gabriel, who is being billed as a surprise starter for his rookie season. Mason Graham is another promising rookie for the Browns. Graham is signed on as a defensive tackle who was awarded All-American honors in 2024 unanimously. David Njoku, Browns tight end, is reported to be back to full health after missing the final games of the 2024 season. In the preseason, the Browns won all three of their games with impressive numbers. Despite all the quarterback issues, it sounds like maybe this team will be able to come back and do better than last year, when they ended up last in the AFC North.

Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys are a team that has been all over the board every year. Last year, they finished third in the NFC East with a 7-10 record, while the year before that, they finished first with a 12-5 record. With this new season, they have made some exciting decisions that could have either a positive or negative impact on their future. Some great additions to the team include George Pickens, a wide receiver traded from the Pittsburgh Steelers and Javonte Williams, a running back from the Denver Broncos. The most recent decision that the Cowboys made was to trade defensive end Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers for defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first-round picks. The trade surprised everyone, whether you’re a Cowboys fan or not. Clark is a fantastic player and has only missed eight games throughout his nine-year NFL career, with three Pro Bowl nods since 2023. Nobody expected this to happen, but it sounds like Clark and Parsons are ready to jump into their four new teams and get ready to play. During the preseason, the Cowboys only won one out of the three games. It sounds like this team could be full of surprises, both good and bad.

Denver Broncos
In recent years, the Denver Broncos have been an underwhelming team. Many credit it to the previous quarterback, Russell Wilson, who had a very unsuccessful career with this team. The last time the Broncos were even in the playoffs was when they won the Super Bowl in 2016. This year, the team has made some changes, including making their first-string quarterback Bo Nix. They also acquired running back J.K. Dobbins, who last played for the Los Angeles Chargers; linebacker Dre Greenlaw, who was traded by the 49ers; Safety Talanoa Hufanga, who was traded by the 49ers; and wide receiver Trent Sherfield Sr., who the Buffalo Bills traded. Hopefully, with the quarterback switch, the team will be able to make a comeback. It doesn’t look like they’ll come back strong enough to get into the playoffs, but it seems like they will be stronger than in previous seasons.

Detroit Lions
One of the most surprising and impressive NFL comebacks belongs to the Detroit Lions. From 2018 to the 2021-2022 season, they were consistently last in the NFC North and were one of the worst NFL teams for many years. This was mainly due to poor ownership, mismanagement, poor draft decisions, and poor coaches that lasted over decades. Finally, in 2021, the Lions got some new management and a new Coach, Dan Campbell, who turned this awful team into stars. Drafting new players and new faces has made this team struggle to perform in the Super Bowl. In the 2024-2025 season, they went 15-2, one win better than the Philadelphia Eagles, who won the Super Bowl. Players like Jared Goff, Jahmyr Gibbs, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Sam LaPorta have specifically transformed the Lions into a highly watchable team. They only won one of their preseason games, but it is expected that the Lions will be a massive contender for the Super Bowl this year as well.

Green Bay Packers
The Packers have been an excellent team, but in their division in previous years, they have been behind the Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Vikings. This year may be the game-changer the team needed. The most recent change to the Packers has been the Micah Parsons trade, where in exchange they traded Kenny Clark and two first-round picks to the Dallas Cowboys. The other shocking Packers news is the Bo Melton switch, where the player switched positions from wide receiver to cornerback. After watching the preseason games, it looks like this switch is paying off. These changes have helped the Packers have an average preseason, winning two out of the three games. With Jordan Love expressing no concerns ahead of his opening game against the Detroit Lions, despite his surgically repaired thumb, this team might finally reach the game they’ve been chasing.

Houston Texans
The youngest NFL franchise has had some strong seasons in previous years, and the team’s performance in the preseason and during practice is positive as we head into the new season. The Texans have won two out of three preseason games, which is a very average score from all 32 teams. Ever since CJ Stroud was drafted and named the team’s starting quarterback, they have made the playoffs and have won the AFC South division title. This year is expected to be the same. New players have been added to the team’s roster, which will influence the team’s gameplay, including running back Nick Chubb, who was released by the Cleveland Browns; wide receiver Christian Kirk, traded by the Jacksonville Jaguars; and wide receiver Justin Watson, traded by the Kansas City Chiefs. Another influence on the Texans is the loss of Stefon Diggs, who was able to play well during eight games before a season-ending knee injury. Despite that, he was a great leader and mentor to younger players such as CJ Stroud, which made him a valuable asset. It was a bold move to add him to the roster in 2024, and it will hopefully have influenced the team in the coming year.

Indianapolis Colts
The Indianapolis Colts have been a forgettable team in recent years, failing to make the playoffs for over 10 years. The closest they came to the playoffs was in 2020, when they lost the wild-card round to the Buffalo Bills. Some people are saying, though, that this could be the year the team makes it to the playoffs. Part of why people think that is because of their new quarterback, Daniel Jones, who was originally with the Giants. Some people believe that with some of the receivers
that Jones will have on the field, they are going to be able to really influence and enhance his skill. Another player who will impact the team is cornerback Charvarius Ward, the highest-ranked cornerback from the San Francisco 49ers. The Colts won only one preseason game, but perhaps this will be the year they advance beyond the wildcard round.

Jacksonville Jaguars
Last season, the Jaguars had a very underwhelming season, only winning four out of thirteen games. This season, the team appears to be coming into the 2025-2026 season a bit stronger, but many are uncertain whether they will become playoff contenders. One player that is becoming a key weapon in the Jaguars’ offense is wide receiver Dyami Brown, who joined the team from the Washington Commanders. Another player who is looking like a strong pick for this team is rookie wide receiver Travis Hunter. Many people believe that the Trevor Lawrence and Travis Hunter dynamic will emerge as a game-changer for the Jacksonville Jaguars. During the preseason, they lost two games and tied with the New Orleans Saints on another one. It’s hard to believe that the team that struggled last season could surprise us this season, but it is very possible. According to other sports reporters, the Jaguars could transform from an unwatchable team to one you actually want to see.

Kansas City Chiefs
This powerhouse team has been to five Super Bowls since 2020, including a matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. Last Super Bowl, they lost to the Philadelphia Eagles 22-40. Despite being a super strong team, the Chiefs have lost all three of their preseason games. However, it is not uncommon for this team to start slow, but really bring their A-game when it really counts. One problem that is really going to affect the start of the Chiefs’ season is wide receiver Rashee Rice being suspended for the first six weeks of the season due to pleading guilty to third-degree felony charges after driving more than 119 mph before losing control and triggering a chain reaction collision involving six vehicles. The Chiefs’ star won’t be able to play until the week six matchup against the Detroit Lions. The team also lost “Super Bowl hero” defensive tackle Mike Pennel, who signed with the rival team, the Cincinnati Bengals. At the rate this team is going, the Chiefs will likely return to the playoffs. However, with the loss of the 2025 Super Bowl, maybe this will be the year they won’t return to the Super Bowl. Despite everything else, this is a super strong team that’s going to come back just as strong this year.

Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders from last season look very different compared to the Raiders that are coming into this new season. With Pete Carroll, who used to be the Seattle Seahawks coach, as their new head coach, this team is going to look a lot different. Along with Carroll, Geno Smith, the quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks, is now the first-string quarterback for the Las Vegas Raiders. The Carroll and Smith duo is already very strong. The issue may come from the wide receiver position after Amari Cooper announced his retirement days before the opener. Another interesting addition to the team is second-string quarterback Kenny Picket, who was originally first-string quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers before getting traded to the Philadelphia Eagles for a poor reaction to receiving Russell Wilson and his refusal to be a backup late in the 2023 season. In the preseason games, the Raiders lost two games and tied with the Seahawks in the last one. With a different team and a different coach, can this team change its dynamic and become stronger than last year?

Los Angeles Chargers
In previous years, the Chargers have been all over the AFC West. They perform great one year and then struggle the next year. If that pattern continues, it doesn’t seem like their last season’s record of 11-6 will carry over to this season’s record. However, there have been many teams that have shocked viewers. In the preseason, they won only one game, but didn’t go down without a fight in the other two. An addition to the Chargers offense from last year is the return of wide receiver Keenan Allen, who was with the Bears last year. He is an older receiver, but still looks like he has some good plays still in him. He also has a very well-established connection with Justin Herbert, which will work well for this team in their upcoming season.

Los Angeles Rams
The Rams are a great team that have come into the spotlight in previous years as intense and competitive rivals. The Mathew Stafford and Puka Nacua quarterback and wide receiver duo are back and ready to play. In the preseason, the Rams won an average of two out of three games. After winning the 2022 Super Bowl, the team appears eager to return to the Super Bowl after narrowly missing out in the 2024 and 2025 seasons. A critical addition to the Rams’ offense is wide receiver Davante Adams, who played with two teams last season, the Las Vegas Raiders and the New York Jets. Moving to the Jets was the best option for him, which hopefully means that he’ll be able to play well with the Rams. So far, it is looking like it will be another strong season for the Rams.

Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins haven’t been able to win the playoffs since 2000 and have not won a postseason game since. They also haven’t appeared in a Super Bowl since 1985, when they lost to the San Francisco 49ers, and it doesn’t look like they’ll be able to break that streak this year either. Important news that has been surrounding the Miami team includes their outside linebackers coach, Ryan Crow, getting arrested on a domestic battery charge and being placed on indefinite administrative leave. Head coach Mike McDaniel says that senior defensive assistant Sean Ryan will take on the responsibility in Crow’s absence. The Dolphins have also decided not to have wide receiver Tyreek Hill as a 2025 captain for the team. This is because in January of 2024, Hill continued to make comments that he wanted to leave the team and that he wanted “out.” His relationship with the team was affected, resulting in his removal as team captain after serving in that role for the three years he had been in Miami. The team has won two of their preseason games and tied with the Chicago Bears in their last game. So far, the Dolphins have one of the longest playoff win droughts in the NFL, and it doesn’t look like they’ll be able to break their drought in the coming season.

Minnesota Vikings
Last season, the Minnesota Vikings were a powerful team, just shy of the playoffs when they lost to the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Wild Card round. The team has undergone some changes, which could impact their progress this year. Last year, quarterback Sam Darnold was a huge influence on this team. This year, their first-string quarterback is going to be J.J. McCarthy, who is preparing for his first season after missing his rookie year with a knee injury. Other players that will affect the way this team plays are the return of wide receiver Adam Thielen, traded from the Carolina Panthers, running back Jordan Mason, and defensive tackle Javon Hargrave, both traded from the San Francisco 49ers. One significant impact on the Vikings’ offense will be the three-game suspension of wide receiver Jordan Addison for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. Addison has played a substantial role for the Vikings, but there is no doubt that he will come back just as strong and ready to go. The Vikings won only one preseason game, but they still appear to be entering the season as strong as last year.

New England Patriots
For the last two years, the Patriots have had a 4-13 record. Because of that, the team has had to pivot and make some vital changes. This includes introducing new head coach Mike Vrabel, who, so far, looks like he has made some beneficial changes in the preseason, having won two out of three games. A new addition to the team is wide receiver Stefon Diggs, traded from the Houston Texans. He suffered an ACL injury late last season but is looking to be back and ready to play. He was held from playing in the preseason games but is expected to play in the season opener against the Las Vegas 8 Raiders. One shocking piece of new information from the team is that they decided to cut veteran safety Jabrill Peppers from the team. Peppers has been with the team since 2022, bringing incredible talent that has significantly helped the team’s defense. He was released from the team because he was no longer compatible with Vrabel’s defense. From what it looks like, the Patriots might be able to break their record streak and come out a little bit stronger than last year, but it doesn’t seem like they will be as good as they once were quite yet.

New Orleans Saints
The Saints had a rough 2024 season, mainly because they struggled a lot with injuries. The defense struggled last year overall. For this coming year, the team did a great job adding a lot of players to improve the defense, which includes safety Justin Reid, who was with the Kansas City Chiefs. You can tell there was an improvement from the preseason games, even though they lost two and tied with the Jacksonville Jaguars in another game. Last year, the team also lost Derek Carr to injury in December, which threw rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler into the spotlight. Carr is now retired, and Rattler is the first-string quarterback for the Saints. Rattler did not perform particularly well in his rookie season, completing only 57% of passes. Hopefully, that will be different this year, and he will be able to contribute more to the team. With the newest addition of wide receiver, Trey Palmer from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, this team is looking to have a positive start to the season and perform better than they did last year.

New York Giants
The Giants have made a couple of changes to their team during the offseason, including adding quarterback Russell Wilson to their team and making him their starting quarterback over rookie Jaxson Dart and veteran Jameis Winston, who are now the backup quarterbacks for the Giants. Last year, the team had the worst record in the NFC division, tying records 3-14 with the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns. The Giants have struggled with their offensive line, pass protection, and lack of good quarterbacks, compounded by numerous structural problems within the franchise itself. The Giants have also had the worst record in the NFL for the last 10 years. Even though they won all three of their preseason games, nobody has a lot of hope for this team, and nobody is expecting them to do any better than they have in previous years.

New York Jets
Along with the other New York team, the New York Jets have been a very underwhelming and underperforming team. Many say it is due to poor management and a lack of stability with the franchise. This year, the Jets have shown slight improvement under a new coaching staff, but it remains uncertain whether they can match their previous performances. Especially since they only won one of their preseason games. But with new additions like quarterback Justin Fields, traded by the Pittsburgh Steelers, and defensive tackle Harrison Phillips, traded by the Minnesota Vikings, there is room for minor improvements that this team might be able to have up its sleeves. Nobody really has a lot of hope for this team; hopefully, they’ll be able to make some big improvements in the following years.

Philadelphia Eagles
The 2024 Super Bowl champions are coming into the 2024-2025 season with many players put on injury reserve. This has shaken up the practice squad and will affect the team in the future. So far, it looks like they will have another strong season, although nobody’s sure they’re going to be repeating Super Bowl champions this year. Some players to look at from this team are rookie wide receiver Darius Cooper, who The New York Times says “is ‘a freak of nature’ who’s only ‘scratching the surface’ by making the Eagles.” Most of the players who were in the Super Bowl are coming back to play on this same team. In the preseason, the team won two out of three of their games, which seems like a normal score with the rest of the NFL teams. The Eagles have been a consistently great team from the start, and many are excited to see what they bring to this new season.

Pittsburgh Steelers
For the past two years, the Steelers have made it to the wild-card rounds in the playoffs, but haven’t been able to go much further than that. This year might be the difference; many people are noting that there is a lot of Super Bowl talk surrounding the team. It really depends on the performance of 41-year-old quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The Steelers were also able to add wide receiver DK Metcalf to their roster. A Rodgers and Metcalf duo seems like the perfect matchup to go to the Super Bowl with. Other additions to the Steelers include cornerback Darius Slay Jr. and Kenneth Gainwell, both leaving the Philadelphia Eagles. To look at the start of this new team, they won two out of three preseason games. With some new talent and big names for the Steelers, maybe they’ll be able to get past the wild card rounds and become a stronger and better team.

San Francisco 49ers
The strong red and gold team suffered a high number of injuries last year, which negatively impacted the team’s 2024 performance. Most notably, Christian McCaffrey and Brandon Aiyuk’s injuries were specifically worrying. However, coming into the 2025 season, McCaffrey is reported to be in great physical condition and ready to play, while Aiyuk’s torn ACL has left him unable to play at the beginning of the 2025 season. Many players were on and off with injuries as well. During the off-season, the team lost some valuable players. Deebo Samuel Sr. was traded to the Washington Commanders, Dre Greenlaw and Talanoa Hufanga were traded to the Denver Broncos, and Charvarius Ward was traded to the Indianapolis Colts. Despite the losses, the team was able to gain players with lots of talent, including Brian Robinson Jr., a running back traded by the Washington Commanders, and Skyy Moore, a wide receiver traded by the Kansas City Chiefs. There is also talk of Kendrick Bourne, a New England Patriots wide receiver, becoming another addition to the 49ers’ offense. NBC Sports says that Bourne is meeting with the 49ers on Monday and the Washington Commanders on Tuesday. Another essential addition to the 49ers team is the return of Robert Saleh as a defensive coordinator. Saleh was with the 49ers from 2017- 2021 before going to the New York Jets as a head coach. Now, he is back and expected to 10 bring a lot to this already strong defense. With two out of three preseason games won, it is expected that the 49ers will come back just as strong.

Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks have made many changes to their team during the offseason. You don’t see very many classic Seahawks players anymore. Quarterback Geno Smith was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders, wide receiver Tyler Lockett was traded to the Tennessee Titans, and wide receiver DK Metcalf was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Despite losing those talents, the team got some new players who might be able to step up to the plate. Rookie quarterback Jalen Milroe has promise for the future of this team. Sam Darnold had an auspicious season as the Minnesota Vikings quarterback last year and is now with the Seahawks. The Los Angeles Rams released Cooper Kupp, opening the door for him to sign with Seattle. In the preseason, the Seahawks won one game and tied with the Raiders in another. The Seahawks have a lot of new faces now, but that also includes a loss of incredible talent. Many people think these changes might be detrimental to the team, while others believe they could be great.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
This team has consistently won the NFC South division title since the 2021-2022 season, following their 2021 Super Bowl win and a long and bright history with great players. This year may be different. Entering the offseason, the Buccaneers haven’t been addressing the lack of depth at certain positions, such as their linemen positions, where they only have two backup players. If players go down with injuries, they won’t have much room for error. Right now, the team is also dealing with some critical injuries, such as wide receiver Chris Godwin’s dislocated ankle, who looks like he won’t be returning until October at the latest. Rookie wide receiver Emeka Egbuka is having to step up to Godwin’s spot while he is out. Egbuka is stepping up to the challenge and has said that he is ready to start the season out strong. The team’s preseason is looking strong. They’ve won two out of three games, losing only one to the Buffalo Bills by five points. This team has some issues coming into the new season ,which makes some people believe that the Buccaneers may not do as well as they have in previous seasons.

Tennessee Titans
The Titans are another team that, in previous years, has been underwhelming and, for the last two years, has had the worst record in the AFC South division. Last season, they had a 3-14 record, tying for the worst record out of all 32 teams. Last year’s quarterback, Will Levis, will not be playing for the new season due to undergoing shoulder surgery in July. The new first-string quarterback is Cameron Ward, who was the first pick in the first round of the 2025 draft. Ward has had a promising past that will hopefully bring a lot to this new team. The Titans also added some new players to improve the roster, including wide receiver Tyler Lockett, originally from the Seattle Seahawks, and wide receiver Van Jefferson, traded from the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Titans have a brighter future than before. They were able to win two out of three preseason games, and with their 11 revamped offensive line, it looks like this team is going to come out strong and surprise us all.

Washington Commanders
Last season, the Washington Commanders surprised everyone and had a positive 12-5 record with their rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels. Daniels is an imposing player, and in the NFL’s top 100 players of 2024 was ranked #21. This team is looking to have another powerful season despite losing all three of their preseason games. One major addition to the Commanders’ offense is wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr., traded by the San Francisco 49ers. The team also extended wide receiver Terry McLaurin, who is expected to be very beneficial in the wide receiver room. A lot of people are saying that the Commanders are one of the teams that are expected to fall short of the expectations coming into the 2025 season. Hopefully, that isn’t the case after a great 2024 season, but it is very possible.
