‘Tourist Trap’ at the Rio Theatre coming Oct. 30

The Art 1050 photography class is cooking something spooky up for Halloween. Thursday, October 30th, at 10:00 am, they will show their short film ‘Tourist Trap’ at the Rio Theatre on Helper Main Street.

Speaking about the project, instructor Jason Huntzinger said “For this class we have an assignment called “Film Noir” where we look at how black and white photography and film can be used as a means to create drama and psychological tension. “

We usually create mock horror movie posters as part of the assignment. This class is very talented and they are a lot of fun, so I thought, why not create our own film and make posters for it?
They were up to the challenge.”

The 15-minute film is free and open to the public. Students are encouraged to attend.
