The winter months are fast approaching, and with that come the fun festive events that follow. Logan has
a plethora of events to ring in the holiday season.
To kick off the Christmas season, the town hosts a parade and tree lighting to ring in a month of
seasonal cheer! The event takes place on the 29th of November, just before December
starts.
There are plenty of houses to indulge in the beauty and elegance of Christmas lights. The
neighborhoods of North Logan and Hyde Park include the largest and most decked-out displays of
lights. A crowd favorite is the house with lights that sync to the rhythm of a song.
A holiday classic coming to the Ellen Eccles Theater in the holiday months is The Nutcracker Ballet. The
Nutcracker portrays the adventures of young Clara and her new Christmas present a nutcracker. It
follows her and the nutcrackers battle against the evil mouse king.
The Main Street once skating rink is a creative way to enjoy the chilly Christmas air, all while enjoying a
wholesome activity. The rink is decorated with festive displays of trees, garland, and reindeer. There
are plenty of places by fires or heaters to warm your hands after a lap or two around the rink.
Being located in a valley, Logan is surrounded by a variety of canyons and mountain scapes. Hardware
sleigh rides offer a scenic sleigh ride through Blacksmith Fork Canyon near Hyrum. Riders enjoy a
peaceful ride pulled by horses through the snow, enjoying the views and the elk roaming nearby. And of
course, there is a warm cup of cocoa for purchase at the end of your enchanting ride.
Logan, Utah truly does Christmas right and has something for everyone to celebrate this time of the year.
