Activity cards get students discounts on campus and in the community

College of Eastern Utah students registered with at least six-credit hours can receive a student activity card. This card allows students to attend athletic events, school activities, and allows access to the BDAC’s facilities.
Local fast food eateries such as Taco Bell, Taco Time, and Arby’s honor the activity card for discounts on meal purchases. McDonalds offers a free sandwich of equal or lesser value with the purchase of a value meal. Other businesses such as Oil Express and Pinnancle Sports will accept the card for deals on merchandise and services.
Student government is working with other community stores to give college students more discounted rates on products, food, or services. Businesses considering accepting the card include Market Express and Grako’s Car Care Center.
The student activity card is not only to give college students a few perks on and around campus, but to prove that students have paid their activity fees so the money is not used by students that haven’t paid, says ASCEU President Dan Woods. A student’s card is a way to prevent students who have not paid their activity fees from receiving the benefits of the ones who have.
In order for a student to obtain their activity card, they must receive a copy of their school schedule from the clerk’s office in the SAC building. The ASCEU Information booth will take photos for the cards every Tuesday and Thursday.
