Daniel Wood serves outside ASCEU

CEU’s student body president, Daniel Wood, has been a great example of going the extra mile in service.
This past holiday season he dressed as a reindeer in order to help assist the Active Re-entry’s PAWS program (People and Animals Working to Serve – an animal assisted therapy program). He spent the day with Santa Clause posing with a variety of pets for holiday pictures. The proceeds went to PAWS. In animal assisted therapy programs, volunteer teams become formally involved in patient treatment regiments, helping motivate the progress of goals and objectives. As those who share their lives with animals will attest, animals can provide benefits that people often cannot. Miraculous improvements have occurred during animal-assisted therapy visits. These animals visit with hospital patients, nursing home residents and people in other facilities. These animals are also used at the Price City Library and local elementary schools where children read to them.
Wood is the president of the SSUN this year along with his many responsibilities as ASCEU president. In addition he has been a Break Away Leader, where he took his group through Arizona into Mexico completing service projects along the way.
