ASCEU executive elections slated for March

The Associated Students of the College of Eastern Utah are holding elections for the 2005-06 fiscal year to elect its executive cabinet.
The following positions are available: ASCEU student body president, vice president of academics, vice president of activities, vice president of inter-club-council. In order to be eligible for these positions, you must be a registered full-time student, have a cumulative GPA of a 2.5 or a 3.0 GPA at the end of fall 2004 and be in good standing in respect to the student code of conduct.
As an executive officer of ASCEU, your duties include attending all ASCEU executive and advisory meetings, attend all training sessions and retreats during the summer, attend all ASCEU committee meetings as assigned, carry out the constitutional duties of your office (all positions has specific specialized instructions in different areas), follow the student code of conduct, and set a higher example of CEU students, appoint and supervise all advisory cabinet meetings and oversee the budgeting and expenditure of student activity’s fees.
Applications are due Friday, March 4 by 10 a.m. A mandatory meeting will be in the ASCEU Leadership Office at 1 p.m., if you do not attend this meeting, it is an automatic forfeit. Publicizing for primary elections begins no earlier than 8 a.m. on Monday, March 7. Voting will be on Monday, March 14 and Tuesday, March 15 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. in the JLSC main hallway. Publicity for general elections begins no earlier than 8 a.m. on Wednesday, March 16. Voting for general elections will be Thursday, March 31 and Friday, April 1 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. in the JLSC.
The Inauguration Ball will be held later that night to announce the winners of the election.
Currently running for ASCEU positions are Jesse Holt, Gillan Bishop, Joseph Whitehead and Sterling Mumford for student body president; Linda Kounalis, Lisa Barnum and Devin Keller for VP of academics; Rikelle Deaton and Aubrey Jenson for VP of activities and Pat Thayn and Amy Anderson for VP of ICC.
