LDSSA host successful activities

LDSSA kicked off their opening social last Friday for all students on campus. The night started out with a barbequed chicken dinner where students were able to get to know each other and build friendships with their fellow students on and off campus.
After dinner, members of the LDSSA activities committee hosted a number of different activities. Stake President, Stephen Clark, loaded bales of hay on the back of his trailer and students piled in for a hayride around town.
Other students carved out their favorite farm animal in an ice cream sculpting contest, some decided to see how many popsicles they could eat before getting a brain freeze, and others embarked in an all out war with some marshmallow guns.
All in all the activity was exciting and filled with excitement as students came together at the end of a long first week.
The LDSSA hopes those who attended had a wonderful time. For anyone who wants to get involved with LDSSA, we will be kicking off our first semester of a service corner with some neat service projects on Thursday, Jan. 26th at 4 p.m in the institute. All students are invited.
