The library is a great resource for students to access while enrolled at CEU. The library offers traditional types of information and study resources such as hardbound books, newspapers and magazines. In addition, the library has several authoritative electronic resources for students to access free of charge.
Electronic Books: Students have the option to check out electronic books 24/7 via NetLibrary which is available from the library’s homepage at library.ceu.edu. Students will need to set up their NetLibrary account from a computer on campus. Once the account is set up, students are able to access books 24/7. The library has access to nearly 5,000 electronic books.
Subscription Databases: Students may also freely access full-text copies of authoritative articles from various subscription databases available through Academic Pioneer. This is a great tool for research papers as students will be able to find authoritative articles in scholarly journals on many topics.
To access the subscription databases through Academic Pioneer, log onto the library homepage at library.ceu.edu/. From the list drop down menus, click on Journals and Comprehensive Info, this will take you to a menu with a direct link to Academic Pioneer. Once you click on Academic Pioneer you will be presented with a list of alphabetically organized subscription article databases. Remote access to Academic Pioneer is possible by using your CEU library card’s 14-digit number as the ID and the password: Patron.
For more in-depth instruction on the subscription databases or electronic books, please visit the library. As a staff, we are dedicated to keeping the library quiet and pleasant. The library has other great resources, we invite you to come in and see for yourself!
