Tall and athletic Courtney Young leads the CEU golden Eagles as captain and defender, and is one of the four returning sophomores to the team.
Young was born and raised in Price, Utah where she attended Carbon High School and played volleyball for the lady Dinos. Volley ball was my favorite sport all through high school, she stated.
In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with her friends and dancing. Young then said, I just love to dance, but only when I have spare time. Young also enjoys going skiing, and is excited for the upcoming season because she hasn t been in at least two years.
If young ever had to choose between peanut butter and jelly or grilled cheese she said, I m pretty much 50-50 on that one. Her favorite animals are dogs, and if young could be any animal that s what she would want to be.
Young s favorite food is home cooking and Italian food. If she could travel anywhere in the world she would like to go to Italy, because she is Italian and also because of the tourist hotspots.
After CEU, she plans to attend the University of Utah, because it is the only university that offered the classes she needs to become a physical therapist. For the most part Young enjoyed attending CEU and said, If CEU was a four-year college, I would definitely attend for another two years.
She chose to attend CEU because of the small class sizes, the chances to get to know professors, the cost, and of course, because it’s home. Young enjoyed playing for the CEU Eagles volleyball team. We could have done better but for the most part it was a pretty good year.
Young has a younger brother, but says that the torture that happens at home is mutual.
After CEU she wants to live wherever she can get her next degree and that living in Price isn’t in her near future. Young’s favorite type of music is country, but says she enjoys listening to pretty much anything no matter what it is.
If Young could have any super power she would want the ability to freeze time. That way she could go to the stores and get anything she ever wanted.
Her favorite movie is Shrek. She can only watch it when she has spare time which she said is few and far between. I’m always way busy, Young said.
She also likes the teachers at CEU, plus enjoys class with teachers that are nice and understanding.
