Do you know anyone who dreams in Spanish? I do, his name is Kyle Graham. Graham is in his second year at the College of Eastern Utah on baseball and academic scholarships.
Graham loves baseball and has been playing since he was five years old. “I have been playing baseball ever since I can remember. When I was a kid, I would play lots of catch with my dad and I remember always hitting off the tee. My dad is the one who got me interested in baseball.”
Graham’s heroes are his mom and dad. “My dad is a hard worker and works hard for other people, not just himself. He does everything he can and not just halfway. My mom can never see the negative in a person, she always looks for the positive. My mom is always worried about others and always tries to find ways to help without them knowing. She is always supportive no matter what.”
A few of Graham’s favorite things to do include waterfowl hunt, wake board, hike, boat and hang with the ladies. Graham is a very caring person. He loves helping people and enjoys visiting his older relatives. His favorite color is forest green and he loves country music. Tim McGraw is one of his favorites.
He also served a Latter-day Saint mission in Argentina. His mission president, Juan Carlos Avila, taught him one of the most important things, “To be able to see the potential in myself.”
His family consists of five people. He is the middle child between two sisters. He is closest to his younger sister Stacie. “Stacie and I are the closest in age, we are a lot alike and probably fight the most, but we have the most fun together.”
Something Graham finds difficult is sitting still. “My favorite class is public communications because it is more hands on and I don’t like sitting still and studying. I always have to be moving something.
He is excited for the season and knows it’ll be a great one. “The team gets along well and is a lot of fun. We have great fielders who make very few errors and our focus on what we are doing is really good. Our ability and talent is great and I think we will go as far as we want to go.”
