Reigning Miss CEU ’08, Danielle Tremelling, Hooper, will emcee the program along with Kellen Jones. She will perform a modern dance to “Prayer of the Children” by Kurt Bestor.
Tremelling, who steps down tonight, admits winning the pageant was one of the most exciting events in her life. She described her favorite parts of the year as Little Miss Tea Party when she met all the women competing for Miss Utah, speaking to a junior high about blood donation, becoming familiar with faculty and staff on campus and making friends for life. She repeat idly said about her experiences, “it was fun.”
Tremelling represented CEU at the Miss Utah Pageant last July in Salt Lake City where she was named Miss Congeniality.
The Miss CEU Pageant is part of The Miss America Organization, one of the nation’s leading achievement programs and the world’s largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women. Last year, the Miss America Organization and its state and local organizations made available more than $45 million in cash and scholarship assistance.
This assistance is not just for the handful of young women who become Miss America, but is available to the over 12,000 young women who compete in the state and local competitions as well.
