Featuring actors Nicholas Dunn (CEU graduate and former Price resident), Phillip Lowe and Will Richardson, and directed by Jim Christian, this madcap comedy takes audiences on a roller coaster ride through all 37 of Shakespeare’s plays in just 99 minutes.
Follow along as they careen wildly through all the comedies, histories and tragedies using a gaggle of props, wigs and ridiculous costumes. Full of clever quips as well as silly slapstick, the script’s affectation and irreverent treatment of Shakespeare’s plays has made it one of the most popular shows in America and England.
It’s blazing hilarity, that aims to out-Python Monty, out-Simpson Homer, and out-Stooge Curly and Moe. Three Brave actors brazenly blend the best of the brilliant Bard with the bottom of the absurdity barrel in this farcical feast of inspired lunacy. A side splitting Theme Park ride! (Scholars: enter at your own risk.)
Warning: This show is a high speed rollercoaster type condensation of all of Shakespeare’s plays, and is not recommended for people with heart ailments, bladder problems, inner-ear disorders and/or people inclined to motion sickness. The Rio Theatre and its sponsors cannot be held responsible for expectant mothers!
Praised by the Los Angeles Times as “wildly funny” and by The Montreal Gazette as “the funniest show you are likely to see in your entire lifetime.”
“If you like Shakespeare, you’ll like this show. If you hate Shakespeare, you’ll love this show!” —The Today Show
“A madcap condensation that features non-stop laughs. Done at a whirlwind pace and with great delight, they are sure to win over even the most skeptical. And there is no doubt that William Shakespeare himself…would approve.” —Daily Variety
