Seven days of holiday service

“On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me….” Now we’ve all heard this song before.
We all have chimed in to melodiously sing “Five Golden Rings.” This upcoming holiday season, we have an opportunity to sing our own rendition – The Seven Days Of Service.

“On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me….” Now we’ve all heard this song before.
We all have chimed in to melodiously sing “Five Golden Rings.” This upcoming holiday season, we have an opportunity to sing our own rendition – The Seven Days Of Service.
On Nov. 6, members of the USU-CEU student leadership had the opportunity to attend a transfer leadership conference at Utah State University in Logan. At the conference, USU leadership members issued a challenge to each campus.
They planned a service project to bring back to our students. Representatives from EUSA, ambassadors, residential life, and the SUN Center collaborated to bring the Seven Days Of Service to USU-CEU.
For one week, beginning Dec. 1, student leadership will sponsor a different project each day. “I love that we can not only give service to one group, but to many of them,” shares Anna Macdonald. Projects will occur at the Carbon County Food Bank, the Castle Valley Center, the Boys and Girls Club at Mont Harmon Junior High, The Angel Tree Project, Parkdale Care Center, the Children’s Justice Center and Price Head Start.
“I am excited for all the projects, especially to go visit the elderly,” explains Kami Johnson. “Who knows the last time they were visited by anyone? You can always see the excitement and love in their eyes and that is a blessing in and of itself.”
