An administrative assistant is staffing the health and wellness center in the Student Activities Center room 117. The assistant can offer referrals to the proper medical professionals, but the college is not providing many of the medical services such as physicals and STD testing, according to Alex Herzog, associate vice chancellor for student services.
Director of Student Success, Jan Thornton is also available to offer interim solutions to medical inquiries in the Disability Resource Center in the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center.
USU is trying to find another healthcare provider in the community that will work part-time with the college.
As always, in the event of medical emergencies, individuals can go to Castleview Hospital at 300 Hospital Drive, next to Winger’s restaurant.
