Eagles earn a win and a loss

Utah State University Eastern played Snow College and the College of Southern Nevada over the weekend. USUE beat Snow College on Oct. 17 and lost to the College of Southern Nevada on Oct. 19.
USUE defeats Snow College
The Utah State University Eastern mens soccer team beat Snow College 1-0 on Oct. 17, in Ephraim, Utah, giving the team its fifth win of the season.
During the first and second halves, neither team scored any goals. They were tied at 0-0.
The game went into overtime, and in the second half, the Eagles Nolan Ramirez found the back of the net to give the Eagles the 1-0 victory over Snow College.
USUE had nine shots and Snow College doubled with 18. USUE had six saves and Snow had three. USUE had 10 fouls while Snow had 14. Rishav Thakur received a yellow card during the game.
USUE loses to CSN
The USU Eastern Eagles lost to the CSN Coyotes 3-1 on Oct. 19, in Henderson, Nev, giving the team its fourth loss of the season.
Three goals were scored by Southern Nevada in the first half. In the second half, Nick Miszcyk, assisted by Talmage Woodhouse, found the back of the net to give the Eagles one point for the game. Unfortunately, the Eagles lost to the Coyotes, giving the team another loss.
USU Eatern had four shots on goal while CSN had 17. USUE had eight saves and CSN had two. The Eagles had three fouls while the Coyotes more than tripled with 11.
The USU Eastern mens soccer team is currently 5-4-5 overall and 3-4-3 in conference play. The Eagles will return to the field on Nov. 8, to verse the Salt Lake Community College Bruins in the region tournament.
