Valentine’s Day playlists & watchlist

When you think about it, Valentine’s Day is sort of like pineapple on pizza. You either love it or you hate it. While I appreciate the idea of Valentine’s Day for its aesthetic appeal, I unfortunately spend way too many V-Days single, lonely and without any plans. 

As a lover of film and music and almost anything involving art, Valentine’s Day is one of the few holidays with so much V-day specific content to choose from. Trust me, there’s nothing better than a good 90’s power-love ballad, or early 2000s R&B slow jam.

 When it comes to movies and television, there are a lot of avenues to explore as well. Cliche, easily predictable rom-coms where the guy gets the girl, dramatic tear-jerkers where the guy dies in the end or the reality television show where the guy has to choose between 25 girls. 

Actually, I’m probably not building the best case  for Valentine’s Day. 

Regardless of whether you’re spending Valentine’s Day “Boo’d Up” with your significant other or “Brokenhearted,” which I understand a little too well, I’ve curated some playlists and a watchlist for you this Valentine’s Day.
