Conner Bancroft Player Profile

Conner is most excited about getting to play ball with the boys, he loves making memories with his closest friends on and off the diamond. He can’t wait to see what this season has in store for him, and wants to continue to win games with his best friends.

Everyone meet Conner Bancroft “CB”. Conner is from Pleasant Grove, Utah, and has lived in the area his whole life, playing baseball for as long as he can remember. Bancroft attended and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School, home of the Vikings. CB had a little bit of a different high school experience than other people.

During his sophomore year, both baseball season and his education was cut short due to Covid-19. His junior year at Pleasant Grove High, Conner had a great season. The Vikings took second in the 6A High School State Baseball Championship, and he earned All State Honorable Mention. Unfortunately, during his senior season he tore his labrum in his left shoulder and wasn’t able to hit due to his surgery.  Causing him to become a pitcher only.

Bancroft chose to come to school at Utah State Eastern because he had a lot of friends that were already attending. CB wanted to continue his baseball career after finishing high school, and felt like Eastern was the right place to be. He had the feeling that coach Kirk Haney and his staff was going to put CB in the best spot to succeed.

Conner typically plays around the left side of the infield on the Eagles Baseball team. Sometimes he can be seen playing third base, or making a transition over to shortstop. Bancroft also comes out of the bullpen whenever the Eagles are called upon.

“CB is something else, he is always making us laugh, whether it is on or off the field,” said teammate Westin Corless. “I always enjoy it when he sings a little bit of Johnny Cash.”

In his free time, Conner enjoys doing outdoor activities, including riding his dirt bike, riding razors or other ATV’s, and he loves to go camping. He can also be found hunting or fishing with his family, or his closest friend KD.

Everyone can’t wait to see what Bancroft has in store this upcoming season as The Eagles open up conference play against the College of Southern Idaho.
