New faculty advisors hired on campus

USU Eastern welcomed three new advisors to campus this semester. These new advisors will
provide different assistance to students. They will meet with students to help them reach their
goals. They can also help students with schedules, make appointments, and advise them
throughout college.

Madysen Probst is from Texas. She came to USUE straight from high school and has attended
the campus since 2019. Probst said her parents were originally from Utah and this was the only
state she applied for colleges in.

“I came to a campus tour here, fell in love with the campus, and knew I didn’t want to go
anywhere else.” Probst said.

Probst works as a full-time staff assistant at One Stop and is also the USUSA vice president on
the Eastern campus. Probst said you can reach her by [email protected] or by calling

Delaney Kunz is from Price and has lived here her whole life. She earned her associate’s,
bachelor’s, and master’s degrees from USU. Kunz decided to work on this campus because she
thought of it as a happy and fun place. She is currently an academic advisor for Theatre AA, Art
AA, and General Studies for students with the last names P-Z.

“My job is so amazing,” Kunz said. “I get to work with students every day helping them figure
out the best classes for them to earn their degrees. I love seeing students succeed and grow. I
enjoy being the person students know is cheering them on. I want to help students in any way
that I can.”

Kunz also wants students to know that Price can be a lot of fun. Also, students can create many
opportunities for themselves, they just have to try.

Tecia Mose was born and raised in West Jordan. She used to work as an Admissions Specialist
before she became an advisor. Mose is the advisor for the Polynesian Club. The Polynesian Club
is open to everyone and they watch Pacific Islander movies, learn about various Pacific islands,
and host socials.

Mose went to school here before working on the campus. Now that she works on campus she
advises the Criminal Justice associate degree and the Elementary Education bachelor’s degree for
Eastern students. She said she chose to work here because she loves helping students in their
journey like she was helped in hers.

“For me, choosing USUE was easy,” Mose said. “It goes back to coming to campus as a high
school student and seeing the students interact with each other, the faculty and staff being so
accessible, and feeling comfortable to talk with the recruiter. I loved that the small campus felt
like a big family.”
