Looking to get involved in the latest project of the SUN Center? Within the next few weeks, the center is starting a drive collecting pajamas for young cancer patients at Primary Children’s Hospital.
The SUN Center has been working on getting the drive planned, and are in the final stages before they can start the project in full force. Bins will be available around campus for people to drop off the donated pajamas.
The pajamas have to be new, flame retardant and should be for patients ages infants to 18 years. “It’s going to be fun,” says project leader Ben Bjarnson of the SUN Center. In fact it will become a campus wide competition. The competition will be between the dorms as well as people off campus, and whoever donates the most pajamas will receive a pizza party as their prize.
Another great perk of donating is that for every one pair donated you will recieve one hour of service learning credit. For more information email Ben at [email protected] or check out their booth at the volunteer fair on Feb tenth to the twelfth.
