2009 student art show

Faculty of the College of Eastern Utah’s Art Department is pleased to announce the annual juried Student Art Show, held from April 10 – May 1, at Gallery East. The art show is open to all CEU students and includes all art forms and media. This includes but is not limited to: drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, graphic arts, ceramics and sculpture. Entries will be accepted April 6-7 at Gallery East said Noel Carmack, Gallery East director.

The art show is open to all CEU students and includes all art forms and media. This includes but is not limited to: drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, graphic arts, ceramics and sculpture. Entries will be accepted April 6-7 at Gallery East said Noel Carmack, Gallery East director.
The general rules of entry are as follows: all work must be ready to hang or install, all works on paper must be framed and/or matted or mounted to a stiff backing, paintings must be dry. Each painting must be equipped with a hanging wire capable of supporting its own weight. Sculpture/ceramics must be ready to install.
Students should drop off work Monday and Tuesday, April 6-7, in Gallery East (Monday 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.)
Carmack said students can pick up rejected work on Thursday, April 9, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The opening reception for the exhibit is Friday, April 17, from 7-9 p.m.
He said students can pick up accepted work on Friday, May 1 & Saturday, May 2 (after commencement). Work not picked up will be landfill-bound, he quipped.
