PBL places in accounting’s top 10 past 31 years
Seven College of Eastern Utah students representing Phi Beta Lambda and DEX qualified for nationals in Anaheim this summer after a grueling two-day competition.
The state PBL held their annual spring business competition at the Ogden Eccles Conference Center and pitted all colleges in Utah against each other. This competition is held to decide who will represent Utah in a business-related areas at the national competition.
According to CEU’s Henning Olsen, CEU has had at least one student place in the top ten in the accounting competition for the past 31 consecutive years.

G. Danielle Warner placed first in business presentations with teammate Erica Burge, second in accounting principles, third in accounting analysis and seventh in micro economics.
Victor Rosen placed first in marketing analysis and decision making with teammates Randon Kerr and Trevor Wood, second in business decisions with teammates David Craig and Kerr, fourth in contemporary sports Issues and fourth in sports management and marketing.
Burge placed first in network design with teammate Kevin Howard and first in business presentations with teammate Warner.
Kerr placed first in marketing analysis and decision making with teammates Victor Rosen and Wood, first in contemporary sports issues, second in sports management and marketing and second in business decision with teammates Craig and Rosen.
Craig placed second in business decision with teammates Kerr and Rosen, fifth in contemporary sports issues and sixth in impromptu speaking.
Howard placed first in computer concepts, first in computer network design with teammate Burge, second in computer networking concepts, third in cyber security and third in tele-communication.
Wood placed first in marketing analysis and decision making with teammates Kerr and Rosen, third in contemporary sports issues, eight in sports management and marketing, and tenth in micro economics.
