CEU Library changes policy and upgrades systems

The CEU Library has recently added several new whiteboards to the group study rooms. With monetary assistance from Jane Johnson, director of international student Services, the library was able to purchase several whiteboards and markers for student use.
This is a great resource while working on group projects or for individual study. Study rooms and markers are available for checkout at the Circulation Counter at the front of the library.
A special thanks goes to Jane Johnson and all the international students for their generous gift to the CEU Library.

Also, the library has updated the electronic on-line card catalog. A direct link to this is available on the library’s homepage at: www.ceu.edu/library. This card catalog has several new and exciting features to assist students, faculty and staff while searching for a book or other library item! Check it out and let us know what you think.
The CEU Library changes computer use policy beginning Monday march 8, 2010. CEU students are no longer required to check out library reference computers. CEU students will simply log onto library reference computers using C number and their unique password.
Reference computers 5-14 are for CEU students use only. It will be the student’s responsibility to log off when done with their user session in order to assure account privacy.
Community Patrons: Due to increased student use of our computers and software licensing agreements, we are now only able to offer three computers for community use. No holds or reserves may be placed on these computers. They are checked out on a “first come first serve” basis. There is a two hour time limit per day.
Concurrent enrollment students are considered community users and therefore need to check out computers using their CEU Library card.
Also, if a specific computer is necessary please let the front desk attendants know. Some reference computers are equipped with software to support certain coursework at CEU such as automotive and nursing.
