Thousands of bombs have been dropped on Iran, and the Strait of Hormuz is still closed. But does that really even matter, guys? Come on! Would somebody think of our poor Vice President JD Vance and his presidential chances in 2028?

Feb. 28th, 2026, Israel and the United States launched joint attacks on Iran initiating what the White House is calling an “operation” against Iran. While the “operation” was meant to last a few days — then only a week or two — the United States is now a month into this conflict with no end in sight. It’s been an absolute disaster on every front; Americans are dead in a war that nobody voted for and that nobody actually wants.

Vice President Vance wants to run for president in 2028. However, being the second-in-command of a deeply unpopular war, Vance has been put into a precarious position. Vance will not become the “heir to MAGA” and have a shot at being nominee without president Trump’s endorsement. However, he also won’t win the nomination if everyone hates him because he dragged us into a never ending war in the Middle East. Vance is stuck walking a knife’s edge where he cannot disavow Trump, but cannot openly support this war either.

So what’s the solution for Vance?

His allies in the White House, media, and business world have been scrambling to salvage his public image. Some of these allies include David Sacks, Tucker Carlson, Joe Kent and Peter Thiel. Even people like Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene contributing to the image of an “America first” Vice President who was firmly and silently against this war in Iran.

Before we go any further, know that this not true. Before Vance was even elected Vice President, he was saying that if we went back to war in the Middle East, we would need to “punch hard.” There are two instances where he explicitly states he’s not against war in the Middle East. The first was at the RNC after he became the VP nominee in 2024:

“You don’t commit America’s troops unless you have to,” Vance said. “But when you do, you punch and you punch hard … but also Iran. A lot of people recognize we need to do something with Iran. But not these weak little bombing runs. If you’re gonna punch the Iranians, you punch them hard.”

For the uninitiated, Israel and the United States hit Iran with everything they had in the first few days of this war. It’s suspected that they thought they could replicate their success in Venezuela, which obviously didn’t happen.

In those first few days of the war, did we punch them hard?

During the Vice President debate October 1, 2024, Vance also spoke about the “Israel Question.”

“It is up to Israel, what they think they need to do to keep their country safe. And we should support our allies wherever they are when they’re fighting the bad guys.”

Here, Vance has explicitly said he wasn’t against war in Iran. I don’t even know how you can argue that his philosophy was America first, if he was willing to let a foreign country decide whether or not our soldiers should die in their wars of aggression.

More over, Vance will oftentimes flat out refuse to entertain questions over what his position was on the war. Vance told The Hill reporters on March 13:

“I hate to disappoint you, but I’m not going to show up here and in front of God and everybody else [and] tell you exactly what I said in that classified room, partially cause I don’t wanna go to prison.”

Vance is avoiding the subject because he — and everyone in the Trump admin — knows this war is unpopular. But again: he can’t disavow Trump, and can’t say he opposes the war.

Over the last year, anti-Israeli sentiment has risen. Many people who knew nothing about them this time last year — myself included — now absolutely despise their nation and think the AIPAC lobby has ripped our country apart.

Whatever propaganda they want to spew, whatever garbage their ai bots on X want to flood the timeline with, this war is not America first and we all know it.

Trying to rescue Vance from the American public are his friends David Sacks, Tucker Carlson, and Joe Kent.

David Sacks was the first member of the Trump Admin to call for an off ramp to this Iran war. On the “All In” podcast that he co-hosts, Sacks began explicitly stating that he wanted to see the United States end the war in Iran for the sake of the economy, and the infrastructure of United States allies.

Sacks and Vance are extremely close. Vance has outright called him one of his “closest friends in the tech world” on the Joe Rogan podcast. Additionally, when Vance organized a fundraiser for the Trump campaign in 2024 for tech companies, it was held at Sacks’ home.

Sacks is someone who is firmly on Vance’s side, whatever might be going on behind the scenes in this Iran war. It’s no coincidence that an ally of Vance’s was the first to speak out against this war. This is in his personal interest also, because Sacks would play a big role in a Vance presidency. Sacks has also invested money into Vance when he ran for Senate.

Additionally, an article from the New York Post made a claim backed by unnamed Iranian sources that Tehran might have wanted to negotiate with president JD Vance.

It makes no sense that Iran might prefer to negotiate with Vance over diplomats Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushnar. Both envoys each have ties in Qatar and Iran — they have a vested, personal interests in finding peace in this region. Vance is someone who was actively lobbying for war, this just doesn’t hold up under close inspection.

Carlson capitalized on this article’s narrative on the Tucker Carlson show.

“The administration wants to declare victory and move on,” Carlson said. “Or, certainly to move on. And they probably couldn’t pick a more credible person to do it. Ideology aside, the Vice President is smart, honest.”

Carlson has been advocating for Vance as early as 2022. Critics imply that Vance would never have become Vice President if not for Carlson’s endorsement. Tucker Carlson’s son — Buckley Carlson — also works for JD Vance as deputy press secretary.

Another major dissenter to this war in Iran is the former Director of the National Counterterrorism Center Kent. March 17, Kent resigned from his post stating that he could no longer support the Trump admin due to this war in Iran. This letter looks great at first glance. It’s extremely professional and well-written, and it’s someone in the Trump admin publicly stating that war in Iran is not America first.

“Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby,” Kent wrote in his resignation letter.

Vance also has close ties with co-founder of Palantir Thiel. Someone named multiple times in the Epstein files, who Tucker Carlson apparently consults before every major life decision he makes. Thiel and Carlson have known each other for a long time.

During his 2022 run for congress, Kent’s campaign was funded by Thiel and Tucker Carlson promoted Kent constantly on his show. Kent is a former CIA member, and Tucker Carlson’s father once worked in the CIA.

There aren’t many reputable media outlets that have reported close ties between Vance and Kent. However, they’re cronies with the same men and run in the same circles. The connection is there through the money.

Furthermore, the day after his resignation, Kent was interviewed on the Tucker Carlson show.

All of this has been done so that when Vance steps on that debate stage in a couple of years, he can claim that he was always against this war in Iran. When he inevitably tries to say that, he is lying.

“If you read in the New York Post that the Iranians want to negotiate with Vance because he’s anti-war, how does that make you feel?” Nick Fuentes asked. “First — without any judgement — how does that make you feel? You might say, ‘oh maybe Vance is our guy!’ … They want to talk to Vance because he’s America first? Well. Well, I like the sound of that!

“If that is your first judgement, that is the intended response. That is the response they were trying to get.”

There have also been several reports of Vance and Netanyahu disagreeing on certain policies in the Middle East, and about the war in Iran itself. Vance’s own office has denied several of these claims, but these narratives are all contributing to the fact that Vance is a “skeptic” or “doesn’t agree with the war.”

And this coverup barely broaches Vance’s deeper ties with Thiel. A topic so vast that it would need its own article to explain.

These planted stories and these false narratives are all being created to portray JD Vance as someone he’s not. It’s absolutely pathetic that this op is going on in the middle of the least popular war in history. It reveals something sinister and inherently dishonest about Vance, his buddies, and their priorities.

What do you feel about this?
