CEU’s Library maintains a wide-ranging collection of materials and resources in the health and health-related fields for students, faculty and staff patrons to access and use. Our resources are extensive in order to assist and support the nursing program at CEU. However, the resources are not limited to students enrolled in the nursing programs. All CEU Library card holders are able to tap into the health-related materials offered here at the library.
Health information is presented in several formats including books, tapes, Internet, popular magazines, scholarly journals, DVDs and videotapes are available at the CEU Library. Some titles from our book collection include: Fitness Through Cycling, also Walking: A Complete Guide to the Complete Exercise, also Weight Management the Fitness Way: Exercise, Nutrition, Stress Control, Emotional Readiness, and Maintaining the Miracle: An Owner’s Manual for the Human Body, Paula Newby-Fraser’s Peak Fitness for Women and Cross-Training for Sports.
We also have books that deal with the mind-body aspect of fitness such as: Anger Kills: Seventeen Strategies for Controlling the Hostility That Can Harm Your Health, also Physical Activity and the Older Adult: Psychological Perspectives, also Mind, Body Medicine: How to Use Your Mind for Better Health, and Mind Gym: an Athlete’s Guide to Inner Excellence, and several other titles.

In addition, we provide electronic access via Academic Pioneer to hundreds of health-related magazines and journals. Topics in the several databases address issues in health such as heart disease, addiction, fitness, cancer, mental illness, diabetes and gangrene and thousands more. There isn’t a disease or health related issues that we cannot access information on or about through the library resources.
The CEU Library subscribes to a database known as Reference USA where patrons may access general information on over 855,000 medical and dental providers in the United States. This can be a great resource when seeking to locate a health specialist in a specific area of the state or country.
Also, the State of Utah through the Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library at the University of Utah sponsors the website: Utah HealthNet at library.med.utah.edu
Visitors to the site are able to access high quality and reliable information, resources, services and programs within the state of Utah.
Now that spring is here and the weather is mild and pleasant we invite you to take a few minutes out of your day and visit the library for information on health, fitness and well-being. We welcome your visit and look forward to seeing you at the CEU Library.
