What a C Card can do for you

In the previous years, C Cards have been offered to students; this year, however, the cards offer more to students than they have in the past. Not many students know about the benefits of their C Card; not many students even own a card; not many students even know what a C Card is. Yet it’s so simple to understand, and even easier to obtain one.

In the previous years, C Cards have been offered to students; this year, however, the cards offer more to students than they have in the past. Not many students know about the benefits of their C Card; not many students even own a card; not many students even know what a C Card is. Yet it’s so simple to understand, and even easier to obtain one.
According to Jan L. Young, Director of Academic Records/Registrar of the College of Eastern Utah, the C number is an eight-digit system generated number used to enter students into Banner, CEU’s Student Information System from the application for admissions. The number is located on everyone’s C Card. Students can get their C Card in the student government office. The card is a campus identification card. It is also used in the cafeteria to show that one is a student or employee of CEU; they may receive a meal discount. All CEU employees and students should have a card.
The C Card should have the student’s or employee’s name, C number, whether they are a student or employee, picture, and school year on the front of the card. On the back of the card, a bar code with the student’s or employee’s C number should be visible. If your card currently does not have all this information, a new card needs to be issued to you at the student government office.
When a student receives their C Card, they receive numerous benefits as well. The card not only admits students into athletic events and other activities for free or less than regular admission price, it also gives students discounts to sponsors around Price. Sponsors included are Ann’s Hallmark ($5 off $30 or more), Arby’s (Arby’s melt, small fry, and medium drink for $3), Balance Rock Eatery (free soft drink with meal purchase), Big Moe’s Eatery & Bakery (15% off any meal), Burger King (10% off mornings), China Buffet (10% off after 3 p.m.), Coffee Shop (10% off), Cold Stone (20% off daily), Decker’s Bicycle (10% off), Dominoes Pizza (additional 10% off existing coupons or specials), Elk’s Club ($1 off Friday night meals), Family Dollar (5% off), Farlainos Caf (10% off), Fat Man Paintball (1 free air full, half bag paint), Gent’s Hairstyling ($2 off), Grako’s American Car Care Center (10% off all services), Greek Streak (10% off), JB’s (free sundae bar with meal purchase), Jensen’s Country Lanes (free shoes with game), KFC & A&W (10% off), King Coal Theatres ($4.50 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays), Las Casitas (10% off), Lee’s Music (10% off sheet music), Lil’s Lattes (10% off), Love Floral (20% off purchase excluding wire orders), Market Express/Sinclair (15% off fast food and fountain drinks), McDonalds (free Big Mac with purchase of value meal), Office Etc. (5% off), Party Express (10% off), Price City Desert Wave Pool ($1.50 on Thursdays nights), Price Floral (20% off any cash and carry purchase), Price Oil Express ($2 off full service), Sherald’s Burger Bar (10% off any purchase), Taco Bell (free medium drink with purchase, dining room only), Taco Time (10% off), Top Line Computers (10% off), and the UPS Store (4 cents for all 8 x 11 black and white copies).
Furthermore, it is highly suggested for all CEU students and employees to get their C Card. It’s used for identifying a student’s C number, student activities, meals in the cafeteria, and discounts throughout the area. So what are you waiting for? Get your C Card! It’s free! It’s easy! It’s worth it!
