USU Eastern’s Art Department hosts opening for the 8th Annual High School Art Competition, showcasing the best works from students throughout the state

On Jan. 17 through Feb. 2, the Art Department at USU Eastern hosts the 8th Annual High School Art Competition at Gallery East on USU Eastern’s campus. This competition gives high school students the chance to create and exhibit their art and have it judged against other students. Most entries in this art competition include ceramics, pottery, jewelry and traditional two-dimensional works such as paintings, drawings, and photography.

“We are delighted to see such good work coming from students all around the state. It shows that their teachers and parents are continuing to encourage young people in the visual arts,” says Gallery Director, Noel Carmack.
