Men’s B-Ball holds on

The men’s basketball team at the College of Eastern Utah has gone through a tough stretch the last couple of weeks.   Two weeks ago, they battled Snow College, who stands at the top of the SWAC.   The Eagles fell in both games in Ephraim, 78-69 and 82-68, respectively.

eBooks available at CEU Library

The College of Eastern Utah Library is introducing students and faculty to a new way of accessing information by offering a collection of 1234 eBooks from netLibrary.
eBooks are full-text electronic versions of published books that library patrons can search, borrow, read and return over the Internet.
“We are excited to be on the forefront of technology with the addition of netLibrary eBooks. This is a new resource that will foster and encourage learning for our students and staff,” said Barbara Steffee, director of the library.

Gallery East

“Transform, Notate, Accumulate” is the abstract urban art exhibit slated to hit CEU’s Gallery East Feb. 2 – 27, featuring Jean Arnold, John Erickson and Linda Peer, three of Salt Lake City’s popular and distinguished artists.
“This show is hip; very exciting. It’s all about the artists’ perceived sense of motion in urban landscapes, as well as the inner condition,” Gallery Director Brent Haddock stated.

EU Wind Symphony presents third concert of the season

The Eastern Utah Wind Symphony, a college-community ensemble at College of Eastern Utah, presents its third concert of the 2003-04 season – “All That Jazz” – on Thursday, February  12 at 7:30 p.m. in the CEU Leavitt Student Center. The program will be a departure from the group’s usual fare of band and chamber repertoire, focusing instead on members of the Wind Symphony performing big-band arrangements of music by many of America’s great jazz composers and songwriters.
